Privacy Policy for Docvra

Docvra is a PDF and document utility designed to process documents locally on your device. This Privacy Policy explains how Docvra handles information and how third-party services used by the app may process information.

1. Local Document Processing

Documents, PDF files, images, text, filenames, and document contents that you select or create with Docvra are processed locally on your device. Docvra does not intentionally upload your documents or their contents to our servers.

2. File Access

Docvra uses Android's Storage Access Framework to allow you to select files and choose where generated files are saved. The app does not request broad access to all files on your device.

3. Camera

Docvra may request access to your device's camera when you use document scanning features. Images captured for document processing are handled locally by the app and are not intentionally sent to our servers.

4. Advertising

Docvra uses Google AdMob to display advertisements, including native, interstitial, and app-open advertisements.

The Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect and process information such as IP address, interactions with ads or the app, diagnostic information, and device or account identifiers where applicable. Google may use this information for purposes including advertising, measurement, analytics, and fraud prevention.

Docvra does not intentionally provide Google Mobile Ads with the contents of your PDFs, documents, scanned pages, filenames, document text, or Storage Access Framework document URIs.

5. Consent and Privacy Choices

Docvra uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to manage privacy and advertising consent choices where required. Depending on your region and applicable requirements, you may be presented with privacy choices relating to advertising and data processing. Where required, privacy options may be available so that you can review or change applicable choices.

6. Push Notifications

Docvra uses Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to provide push notifications. Firebase Cloud Messaging and related Firebase installation services may process technical information required to provide notifications, such as the application version, Firebase-related technical information, and a per-installation Firebase identifier.

Docvra may subscribe an app installation to notification topics so that notifications can be delivered to groups of installations. Some notifications may contain links to Google Play. If you choose to tap such a notification, Docvra may open the corresponding Google Play destination.

Docvra does not intentionally send your PDF contents, document contents, filenames, document text, scanned pages, or document URIs to Firebase Cloud Messaging.

7. Analytics and Crash Reporting

Docvra does not include Firebase Analytics or Firebase Crashlytics as direct application dependencies. Advertising services may nevertheless process measurement, interaction, and diagnostic information as described in the Advertising section above.

8. Internet Access

Internet access is used for functions that require network communication, including advertising, consent and privacy messaging, and push notifications. Core document processing remains local to the device.

9. Third-Party Services

Docvra uses services provided by Google, including Google AdMob, Google's User Messaging Platform, and Firebase Cloud Messaging. Information processed by these services is subject to Google's applicable privacy policies and service terms.

10. Your Choices

You can control notification permission through Android system settings. You can also manage certain advertising and privacy choices when those options are made available through the consent and privacy interface.

11. Children's Privacy

Docvra is a general-purpose document utility and is not specifically directed to children. We do not intentionally use the app to collect document contents from children.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when Docvra's features, third-party services, or applicable requirements change. The current version will be published at this location.
